A Seat At My Table

Today, I’m doing what I love.

I’m in the kitchen cooking and baking —
Zucchini Bread,
Coconut Sweet Bread,
Chocolate Chip Cookies,
Potato Salad,
Stewed Chicken and Rice.

The whole place smells like comfort.
Like childhood.
Like home.
I am happiest when I’m creating, even when my back aches and I must pause for a moment. The joy outweighs the pain every single time.

I love making good food.
I love watching the joy it brings to the people who eat it.
And my dream — the one that’s been whispering to me for years — is to do this for the rest of my life.

Cooking and baking to benefit those less fortunate.
Feeding people who need nourishment in more ways than one.
There is no greater joy than seeing a smile of satisfaction as a belly is filled and a spirit is lifted.

To share simple conversation.
To connect with a soul that’s starving to be heard and respected.
To offer warmth without judgment, kindness without condition.

It doesn’t matter where they came from.
It doesn’t matter what their situation is.
None of that matters at my table.

Come by.
The door to my kitchen is always open.
And there is always a seat waiting for you at my table.

I’m Wild — a Canadian writer who tells the truth the way it lives in me: raw, real, and unedited. My work blends memoir, emotion, and lived experience into stories that refuse to whisper. I write about survival, identity, grief, and the quiet moments that shape us. This space is where I share the pieces of my life, one honest story at a time.
